J.B. Patterson, Esquire (1911-1983).

Hugh T. Maloney, Esquire

Mr. MaloneyHugh Maloney joined J.B. Patterson in the foundation of Patterson & Maloney. Mr. Maloney has been practicing law since 1960. He is a member of The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers; which is an academy of highly skilled negotiators and litigators who represent individuals in all facets of family law. Mr. Maloney concentrates his practice in the areas of Family Law, Appellate Practice, and Civil Litigation.

Mr. Maloney was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Loyola University where he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S., 1952). Mr. Maloney continued his education at the University of Miami where he earned his Law Degree (L.L.B., 1960). While attending the University of Miami, Mr. Maloney received numerous honors including membership in the fraternal organizations of Phi Delta Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Society of Wig and Robe. Mr. Maloney was also the Associate Editor of the University of Miami Law Review (1959-1960).

Mr. Maloney has served as President of the Broward County Bar Association (1982); and Chairman of the Judicial Nominating Committee (1987-1988). Mr. Maloney has lectured throughout the State of Florida on numerous family law issues. Mr. Maloney has experience both as a practitioner and mediator.

Heather Apicella, Esquire

heatherHeather Apicella is an Associate of Patterson & Maloney. Mrs. Apicella is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, and Broward County Bar Association. She concentrates her practice in the areas of Family Law and Civil Litigation.

Mrs. Apicella was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to the state of Florida during her youth. Mrs. Apicella attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S., 2002). She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Law Degree (J.D., Cum Laude, 2006). While attending Nova Southeastern University, Mrs. Apicella was a member of Nova Law Review, Phi Alpha Delta, and she served on the Executive Board of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (also known as the American Association for Justice).

Mrs. Apicella is very active in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. She served as Chair of the Support Issues Committee from July 2009 through July 2011. She continues to serve on the Support Issues Committee, as well as, the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee, and Children’s Issues Committee. Mrs. Apicella currently serves as a Co-Vice Chair of the Legislation Committee.

Mrs. Apicella is also very active in the Broward County Bar Association. She currently serves as the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association.

Mrs. Apicella has the unique communication skills required to enable her to guide our clients through every step of the settlement and/or litigation process.

JoAnn Greenwald

JoAnnJoAnn Greenwald is a paralegal at Patterson & Maloney. Mrs. Greenwald has been working for Patterson & Maloney for 28 years, and specifically for Hugh Maloney, Esquire for 26 years. Ms. Greenwald is highly experienced in supporting clients throughout their family law, civil litigation, or appellate cases. Mrs. Greenwald is passionate, articulate, and dedicated to her work.

 

 

 

Kim Williams

KimKim Williams is a paralegal at Patterson & Maloney. Ms. Williams has been in the legal field for 30 years; and has worked specifically in the area of family law for 18 years. Ms. Williams is dedicated, hard-working, and always available to assist our clients.
